In our live session with Carolyn, she gave us two processes she uses with her clients to get them regulated and back on track.

BAM - Breathe, Anchor, Move

Breathe: Pause and take a few deep breaths to centre yourself.

Anchor: Ground yourself back into the present moment.

Move: Shift your energy physically. Get up, stretch or give yourself a shake.

as well as;

SAIL - Stop, Anchor, Investigate, Lead

Stop: Pause before reacting.

Anchor: Reconnect with your body and your breath.

Investigate: Ask yourself what your emotions or feelings are trying to tell you.

Lead: Move forward by choosing a thoughtful response rather than reacting from your emotional, triggered self.

These techniques are tools to help you move from reacting emotionally to making level-headed decisions that align with the new version of you.
